Rule Horror: While Others Struggle to Survive, I Change the Rules

The world undergoes a global mutation, and rule-based horror descends into reality.

Every city is shrouded in eerie rules. Anyone who breaks them is dragged into the darkness and disappears forever.

Humanity forms a Response Bureau and selects chosen ones to enter instances and investigate the rules, trading their lives for room to survive.

Lin Chen, an ordinary office drone, activates the only SSS-rank talent, Rule Editor, in his first instance.

Others see the rule: Do not look in a mirror after midnight. Something inside the mirror will come out.

Lin Chen sees: Can you edit whether the thing in the mirror comes out to make it so the thing in the mirror gives you a back rub?

Instance announcement: Do not open the door to strangers. The thing outside is not human.

Lin Chen changes it on the spot: You must open the door to strangers. The person outside is here to deliver your food.

The Response Bureau: Mr. Lin Chen, what's your secret to clearing an S-rank instance?

Lin Chen: It's nothing much. I go in, change a few rules, and then the ghosts are... pretty friendly.
