Siheyuan: Yi Zhonghai's Funeral, and I Buy Eight Houses

As far back as he can remember, there have only been his mother and his younger siblings at home. He thought they were a loving family until he went to the city to meet his relatives and saw Yan Bugui and Jia Zhangshi. He recognized them: this was the world of the Courtyard Siheyuan.

At the same time, he awakened the Family Values System.

Correct a bad habit in his family, and he gets a reward. Correct a neighbor's bad habit, and he gets a reward. Work diligently and help others, and he gets rewards too. But the most twisted thing about this System is that correcting his mother damages their bond, while correcting a neighbor earns him a blood feud. The rewards keep chiming as relationships fall apart.

His father works in the city and comes home now and then, but this time he is taking an unusually long time to show up. His mother is the laziest person in Zhangjia Village, and as soon as she enters the courtyard, she locks eyes with her old neighbor and sworn enemy, Jia Zhangshi. He draws comic strips by day to earn royalties, then watches the clock at night, rescuing people for cash. One Iron Mountain Lean sends a troublemaker sprawling into the dirt. The very next second after the System reward arrives, his mother nearly ends up slapping her thighs on the canteen floor on her first day there.

Should he change things, or leave them as they are?
