Devouring Nuclear Energy in the Apocalypse

Other people awaken through luck. Qian Sui awakens by eating. He devours core energy, helps people awaken, and his armor level soars, but his mutation rate rises just as fast. Once it exceeds 30%, his consciousness will vanish and he'll turn into a monster. After helping the fifth person, his armor level gets stuck at 25%, while his mutation rate jumps to 20%. The Black Tower calls him an S-rank specimen. The Iron Wall wants to lock him inside a reactor. The nine ability users at the outpost are alive because of him, but now he's made them targets too. Reaching 30% armor unlocks his second skill, but every bite he takes brings him closer to the abyss. Should he devour this core or not?
