90 Days Until Doomsday: The People Who Betrayed Me Are Weeping

In a hallway at minus forty-eight degrees, Sima Xuanji clutched a frozen bowl as his girlfriend of three years and his friend of ten years trampled his hand. He breathed his last.

When he opened his eyes again, it was the afternoon ninety days earlier. Outside the window, music from a public square dance was playing.

In his previous life, he had begged people to stockpile food, only to be called crazy by the entire building. In the end, he froze to death amid the supplies he had hoarded. This time, he tells no one and trusts no one. He has only one goal: to reshape the world into a place where he can survive.

He gets ahead of everyone else to stock up, seal the windows, weld the doors, and keep records. His girlfriend takes the 800,000 yuan down payment for their future home and disappears. His friend has his eye on his apartment. His neighbors report his generator. In the residents’ group chat, they mock him as a doomsday lunatic. But he never wanted to explain himself. He wants every one of them, ninety days from now, to know all too clearly that they themselves shut the door on the man they once laughed at.

Disasters have a countdown. The human heart does not.
