I Commune with Plants and Trees, Restarting My Path to Immortality

Xiao Wujin, a modern botanist, transmigrates to the primeval wilderness and binds himself to a Spirit Language System, becoming the only “plant speaker” who can understand the words of plants.

As heaven and earth take shape, spiritual energy wanes and the path to immortality comes to an end. Nine Jianmu trees are scattered across the world, and only the one chosen by fate can reopen the path of cultivation.

He bears the responsibility of restoring the land, yet is hunted by corrupt ministers and trapped in a conscription camp, where he witnesses tens of thousands being used to power an evil formation as plants wail without end.

After awakening his gift for plant speech, he communicates with countless flora. A withered vine helps him decipher a fragmentary map, an ancient willow reveals the truth, and a desert poplar points the way through the maze. Little by little, he awakens the remnants of Jianmu's soul.

He gains primordial powers such as Vine Control, Dew Condensation, and Spirit Sight. Together with Ji Zhaozhao, daughter of a disgraced consort, he explores secret realms and battles the ruthless general Pei Zhanye, who seeks to seize the Heavenly Dao.

As the nine realms return to their origins and all clans awaken, a legend of redemption and remaking heaven and earth begins.
