Kindling: Ace Never Dies in One Piece

Portgas D. Ace had a dream.

In it, magma burned through his chest. He knelt on the execution platform at Marine Headquarters and died beneath the gaze of the entire world. He died under the words "Roger's son."

On the third day after he woke, the fugitive Blackbeard was right in front of him, the order to pursue him rang in his ears, and Whitebeard's gaze pressed down like the sea.

This time, he said, "I'm not going."

A man who has seen the ending, eyes that can see the flames of life, and skills that have saved more than a thousand people. He intends to burn away that scripted ending, one word at a time.

Fate is not something you can simply dodge. It comes back wearing another face, so he'll burn that face too.
