I Opened a Factory in Ancient Times

Lin Yue, a modern mechanical engineer, wakes up transmigrated to the Great Yong dynasty as the most bullied and useless apprentice at a blacksmith’s shop. His fiancée shows up to break off their engagement, while his master and senior apprentices beat and scold him at every turn. Lin Yue only sneers: with two thousand years of industrial knowledge in my head, how could I possibly fare badly in ancient times?

He improves the quenching process, tripling the metal’s hardness, and shocks the whole county by chopping through an iron chain with a single strike. He invents a method for making crucible steel, increasing output tenfold, and his competitors call it impossible. From the Hundred Refinements Workshop to the prefectural workshops, from cement and glass to steam engines, from flintlock guns to railways and steamships...

Others conquer the world with armies. Lin Yue does it with a blacksmith’s hammer! Watch as an apprentice blacksmith builds an industrial empire from nothing with his own two hands, and rises to supreme power in the name of craftsmanship!
