My Siheyuan Life as Silly Zhu's Uncle

The protagonist is a forty-year-old man in 2026 with a junior college education.

In his spare time, he enjoys studying the history of the Three Kingdoms, the Sui and Tang dynasties, the Song and Ming dynasties, the Qing dynasty, the Republic of China, the War of Resistance against Japan, the years around the founding of the People's Republic, the post-liberation era, and the period of reform and opening up.

Before transmigrating, the protagonist, He Weiguo, had never served in the military, though he had received basic military training growing up.

After transmigrating, He Weiguo regains consciousness in 1933. He has transmigrated into the body of ten-year-old He Daming, a cousin of He Daqing. With his father dying, he has to rely on He Daqing.

After the protagonist transmigrates to 1933, a whole series of events unfolds, and he experiences a great deal: his father, a chef, is killed by Japanese ruffians; he sees through the political situation of the time; he helps the underground Communist Party; and eventually he joins the Eighth Route Army with his comrades...
