The Overlord of Nanyang: From Famine Refugee to King of the Pacific

In 1905, Lin Mo, a boy from Shandong, flees famine and heads south to Nanyang with his childhood friend Zhu Wangcai. Just as they are starving and freezing, he awakens the Nanyang Overlord System. Fame and swagger points grow along separate tracks, with bizarre quests and a steady stream of delightful rewards.

Zhu Wangcai is timid and greedy, yet blessed with absurdly good luck. His clumsy slips and stumbles somehow always lead to major achievements. The sharp-tongued System loves to prank its Host. Prussian nobleman Colonel William repeatedly hits a wall before finally admitting he loves it and pledging his allegiance. And then there's the parrot general, fluent in profanities from many countries, whose specialty is intelligence gathering and snarky commentary.

Lin Mo starts making his fortune with a single tea egg, maneuvering among British, Dutch, and German colonial powers. He builds merchant fleets, sets up munitions factories, trains a private army, and creates a tea-egg fleet. He makes a killing from World War I and takes on Japanese invaders head-on in World War II.

Starting out as a dockworker, he fights his way forward, unites the Chinese and native peoples of Nanyang, and establishes the Great Hua Kingdom in the Pacific. From the Pit Latrine Warrior to parliamentary showdowns and surprise naval attacks, hilarious scenes keep coming. Watch this famine refugee sweep away the colonial powers of Nanyang and rise to the throne of the Pacific!
