From the Start, My Word Spirit Awakened, and I Was Named in the Investiture of the Gods

Words exist in this world, and each word has a soul.

Some obtain the word "Sword" and draw their blade with a single thought, its chill reaching ten thousand miles. Some obtain "Medicine" and can decide life and death with a silver needle. Some obtain "Formation" and trap mountains and rivers in their palms with the Eight Gates of Light and Darkness. Others obtain "Cooking" and nourish the soul with a hundred flavors, able to sustain life or take it away.

Yu Jianming, a freshman at Ninggong University, only wants to live a peaceful life among ordinary people. But after an accident, he awakens a mysterious Word Soul, and a strange senior with a mysterious past, Yang Dongmeng, appears in his sea of consciousness. The campus is no longer just a campus, and student clubs are no longer just student clubs. The gods, spirit souls, sects, and deadly schemes hidden behind ancient writing all open their eyes to him.

Then the Investiture of the Gods tournament begins, the Investiture List stirs, Shang Jiuque, the new leader of the Xuanjin Society, makes his move, and Emperor Shitian, Song Ruyi, arrives to seize souls. The strongest One-Character Soul and the spirit soul of Donghuang Taiyi reappear in the world, and the true character within Yu Jianming finally shines with its first glimmer of light.

As countless Word Souls return to the mortal world, and gods and players alike seek to rewrite cause and effect,

who will take up the brush and change fate? Who will inscribe a word to seal the heavens?
