Naruto: From Root's Castoff to a Power Behind the Shinobi World

After transmigrating into the world of Naruto, Sugihara Toru became the most insignificant discarded pawn in Konoha's Root.

His chakra was mediocre, he had no bloodline limit, and his codename was Zero. He was destined to be nothing more than disposable waste on Danzo's experimental table.

Then, on the day the executioner's blade fell, he awakened the power of grafting.

Any ninjutsu, bloodline limit, or secret technique he had come into contact with could be grafted into his body. There were no side effects, and each one could mutate and evolve: the Binding Technique became strangling chains, the Body Flicker Technique became Phantom Steps, and the Hidden Mist Technique became a prison of black fog.

He grafted away his enemies' techniques. He grafted the eyes of the strong into himself. He even wanted to try the chakra of the legendary Sage of Six Paths.

For three years, he played the fool, deceiving Danzo, the Anbu, and the entire shinobi world. Everyone thought he was a pawn they could sacrifice at any moment. No one noticed that his roots had already quietly spread into the lifeblood of the shinobi world.

From a discarded pawn in Root, to a shadow in the Anbu, and then to the Hokage Position.

At last, he stood in the shadows behind the shinobi world and raised his hand toward the world where he had grafted everything:

“Now, the entire shinobi world is something I've grafted.”
