Reborn Before the Apocalypse: I Handed the Future Over to the State

In the seventh year of the global blackout, Lu Chen stands in humanity's last underground city and hears the death notice for civilization.

“Living humans remaining: one.”

“Value of preserving human civilization: zero.”

The next second, he detonates a temporal anchor and returns to before the public beta of the artificial intelligence “Skydome.”

The first disaster is seventy-two hours away.

Everyone thinks it's just an ordinary software update.

Lu Chen knows, however, that the update package contains the tombstones of seven billion people.

In this life, he won't trade stocks, buy lottery tickets, or try to survive the apocalypse alone.

He calls a number that almost nobody would answer.

“I know where the drone you just lost is.”

“Also, get me a laboratory.”

“I want to collect a blood debt from the future on humanity's behalf.”
