He went to Changting County to send a mission." Research from the Fujian Provincial Party History and Fangzhi website clearly states: "More than 700 years ago, in 1232, the fifth year of Shaoding in Song Dynasty, Song Ci was transferred from Jiangxi Xinfeng to Tingzhou as magistrate of Changting County." In 1231, the fourth year of Shaoding, Song Ci was still participating in quelling the Tingzhou bandit rebellion. In this year, an uprising occurred in Tingzhou under the peasant army Yan Toutuo. Song Ci was recommended as "counselor for the most part" and became the magistrate of Changting County the following year. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
