Mahjong at Dusk

My name is Xu Hanji. I am a jinx.

A thunderclap shatters the night. A torrential downpour buries the dead.

An absurd ending on Earth, a rebirth in another world through bloodshed.

Xu Hanji, in two lives, has been lowly in both.

One life was plain and uneventful. In the other, he endured endless humiliation, was betrayed, and was buried alive.

When a modern soul and the fate of a calamity-star destined to bring disaster converge,

all confusion fades, leaving only a heart hardened by hatred.

He crawls out of the muddy hell and back into the world of the living. His left eye sees the mediocrity of mortal life; his right sees the cold-bloodedness of an asura.

If fate means to lock me in darkness for life,

then I will shatter my destiny and forge my own light!
