You Were Told to Cultivate and Farm, Yet You Grew Mutant Dragon Yang Grass

A barren field, a feeble body, and the lowest-ranked freshman. With a mysterious panel that can see through the soil's fertility and crops' emotions, he somehow raises his prickly beans to be fiercer than anyone else's during the entrance assessment. But just as the soil's fertility begins skyrocketing, the Dragon Yang Grass, which should have been completely dead, suddenly comes back to life. Its leaves turn crimson, its roots grow wildly, and its demand for soil fertility drops by thirty percent. Then it sends a sticky, ravenous craving into his mind, like a living thing starving mad.

The grass is picky. It devours fire, but thinks the sparks in fire-ant dung are too weak. If it isn't satisfied, it sends waves of scorching heat across the entire field, forcing him to dig for deeper soil fertility to feed it despite the toll on his vitality. But as the roots of the Ground Creeper Vine burrow deeper and deeper, they drag up strange nutrients that even make the panel flash warnings. Those things are slowly accumulating underground, transforming the whole field into something that should not exist.

The assessment is barely halfway over, and his ranking is on the verge of breaking into the top three. But the mutated grass is growing more temperamental by the day. If he doesn't find true fire to feed it, the entire field and all those prickly beans will be burned to ash.
