A story about a Chinese literature major with a bad-boy streak and his romances with several extraordinary women of very different types on a university campus. It feels like a warm breeze drifting over a lake in summer. One is the owner of the Night Voyage Bookshop. She smokes heavily, and when she smiles, she looks like a deep well. You never know when she'll drown you. The second is a senior in the Chinese department, with a tongue sharper than a knife and a waist as supple as a snake's. The third is the girl sitting in front of me. She wrote a line in her notebook and then erased it, but I saw it. This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual people or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
