Jiangshi: The Merit Points System, Recruiting Ren Tiantang as a General

Cao Ye arrives in Uncle Jiu's world with a merit-points System, recruiting mighty generals from the Three Kingdoms and suppressing great saints of the demon realm. A clue to the second volume of the Yinfu Scripture points straight to Renjia Town in northern Hunan.

The trip was supposed to be an ordinary family visit to pay respects to his late great-uncle, Ren Tiantang. But as soon as Cao Ye entered town, he sensed something wrong. An abnormal current of corpse energy was surging beneath the surface. Ren Tiantang's body had vanished after being buried. The town chief and his son paid lip service to the young marshal sent from above, outwardly obedient but secretly joining local gentry and wealthy merchants in laying a grand trap, planning to drug him with poisoned wine.

Deeper in the shadows, a mutated zombie, transformed by a mysterious drug, had quietly awakened. It could ignore Taoist arts and fly through the sky. Ren Tiantang had accidentally fallen into the hands of an evil cultivator while alive and been transformed using Western occult arts. Immune to Taoist magic and difficult to destroy even in sunlight, it had become a monster unlike any other. Yet the System's merit points stirred, pointing precisely to an order to recruit a general: making Tiantang his subordinate was the key to breaking the deadlock.

A golden Buddha suppresses demons, while black waters carry one through tribulation. As the young marshal's merit points intertwine with the incense and karma of this world, the real hunt is only just beginning beneath the night sky of Renjia Town.
