Siheyuan: Armed with Memories of the Plot, I Refuse to Support Yi Zhonghai in His Old Age

A tough new neighbor moves into the courtyard and gets targeted on his very first day by its most notorious little brat. His bedding is thrown outside, muddy footprints are stamped on his bed, and now the kid wants to rummage through his bag and steal money? Bang Geng thinks he can throw his weight around just like he does with Silly Zhu, but he's forgotten that this new neighbor doesn't indulge children, or adults.

Yi Zhonghai wants to play peacemaker, going on and on about how young people should just take a small loss. But Wang Jiuzhi won't accept that. If you've done something wrong, you admit it, and you pay what you owe in full. From five yuan to ten, every time the culprit is caught red-handed, every time the matter is settled to his face. Qin Huairu's sob stories about being poor are useless, and even when the First Master tries to pay for someone else, Wang Jiuzhi shuts him down.

Xu Damao invites him for a drink, hoping to recruit an ally to deal with Silly Zhu. But Wang Jiuzhi sides with no one. He only sides with what's right. He Yuzhu tries to tell him to be magnanimous, so Wang Jiuzhi asks him, "People take your lunchbox every day. What do you get out of it?" The question leaves Silly Zhu unable to enjoy his drink.

There aren't many people in this courtyard who are easy to deal with, but Wang Jiuzhi has no intention of making things easy for them. Anyone looking to take advantage of him, smooth things over, or use him as a free retirement plan had better check their pockets and make sure they can afford to pay.
