Do Not Toy with the Gods

The world went mad just because Chen Qing worshiped a rat.

On the streets, people knelt before streetlights, praying for promotions and pay raises;

In the sects, elders offered sacrifices to maggots, yearning for the Dao's methods of eternal life...

Some gathered followers and ensnared thousands, only to be swallowed up by the masses;

Some wandered the mortal world in search of the seven emotions and six desires, only to be buried by their own lovesickness...

Only Chen Qing

believed in neither gods nor himself.

He carved a line into his own tombstone:

"Do not make a fool of the gods."

After a moment's thought, he carved another:

"Unless you are the god."
