Pokemon: From the Start, I Have Charmander with Huge Power

The day he transmigrated as a baby, Chen Ke realized he had been handed the protagonist’s script. His System was formed when an exploding game console fused with him, and Pikachu had the golden-crown potential of a protagonist template. The Charmander sent by the League, however, was a “defective product” that couldn’t use Fire-type moves. But the instant his appraisal skill lit up, Chen Ke saw its true Ability: Huge Power.

So what if it couldn’t breathe fire? This Charmeleon had enough strength to take down opponents ten times its size. What’s more, the System’s prize pool contained Arceus Plates, Pokéblock recipes, and candies that could break through the limits of a Pokémon’s potential. The eldest son of the Zhou family secretly plots against him, and the child of an Elite Four member watches him like a hawk. But Chen Ke only wants to show everyone who looks down on Charmander what “thirty years east of the river” really means.

One year. Give him just one year, and he’ll sweep the national youth tournament with Pikachu and this Charizard destined to become the king of Fighting types. Then he’ll find his parents and Professor, who disappeared years ago. His first Badge starts at the West Lake Gym. Starmie’s Mirror Coat can deflect ten times the power of a Thunderbolt, but it can’t stop the claws of Huge Power.
