Pokemon: Throne of the Azure Waves

This is not a story about someone who transmigrates, nor is it a feel-good tale about mastering every type.

Jiang Chao is a boy who grew up in Vermilion City. His father, a fishing boat captain, disappeared in a storm. The only thing he left behind was a Pokémon Egg that had spent three days and three nights soaking in seawater, yet never lost its warmth.

The egg hatched into a Horsea, a weak creature every Trainer considered unsuitable as a Starter Pokémon.

But Jiang Chao refuses to accept that. He believes water is the world's most fundamental force, and that every drop of seawater conceals a secret of the Pokemon world.

From Vermilion City to Cerulean Gym, from the Fuchsia wetlands to the Indigo Plateau Conference, he uses only Water-type Pokémon to challenge the prejudice that a single type can never reach the top.

Team Rocket's plot in the waters, the ancient legends beneath the seas of Kanto, the truth behind his father's disappearance: When the tide comes in, who will rise and who will fall?

A Water-type Pokémon Master? No. I want the whole world to remember the power of water.
