Great God, Carry Me to Victory

I hate Wen Lin.

He stole my breakfast, ate it right in front of me, and even taunted me.

Suddenly, my phone went black, and a System popped up: Congratulations, you've bound the Narrow Road to Your Nemesis System. Your fated nemesis is here. Favorability: -100.

I looked at the -100 above his head, then at his game ID: Godslayer.

He was the gaming god I had spent the whole summer begging to add me, only to be rejected for a month straight.

Fine.

I raised my phone toward him. "Hey, god-tier player, want to duo?"

Him: "Are you sick?"

System: Favorability -10, now at -110.

Later, he came around.

Later, he begged me to carry him every day.

Later, he let everyone at the finals know that I was his.

And later still, I got back every last bite of the jianbing guozi he'd stolen from me, with interest.

Yes, with my mouth.
