Bright Sword: Recycling with a Spin, the Independent Regiment Crushes the Puppet Army

Thirty-two battered soldiers huddle in a ruined temple, Chen Feng clutching their last bullet. He kicks open a wooden crate, revealing two Czech light machine guns gleaming coldly. The moment he pulls the trigger, more than twenty puppet troops hit the ground. The survivors kneel and tremble in a pool of blood as they reveal that Black Cloud Stronghold, thirty li to the west, is home to a hundred bandits and an entire granary.

Chen Feng throws the captured ammunition into a dry well, and the System's balance jumps into the thousands. The soldiers carry back three large wooden crates. When they pry open the lids, the ruined temple falls silent for ten seconds. The thirty-one men, now fully rearmed, have fire in their eyes as they wait for their company commander to mark out the route to Black Cloud Stronghold.

At dawn, the Czech guns open fire at once, drawing the bandits toward the front gate. Wang Dali leads the raid team up the sheer cliffs behind the stronghold. As flames light up the granary, the bandit chief comes sprinting out of the assembly hall, clutching his trousers. Machine guns seal off the front gate, while flames from the rear climb halfway to the sky. Thirty soldiers armed with new guns close in from both sides. By daybreak, the spoils from Black Cloud Stronghold fill three courtyards.

A communications soldier returns with a message: Li Yunlong says it's time for the Independent Regiment to raise its banner again. Chen Feng looks down at the System's newly increased balance and opens the secondhand market's heavy weapons page. This is only the beginning.
