Detective Conan: I Save Haibara on a Rainy Night, and She Secretly Falls for Me

On a rainy night, Suzuki Yusuke sped through the empty streets of Beika Town. A small, unsteady figure in a brown coat flashed in his rearview mirror. He wrenched the wheel and stopped. A girl in a soaked white lab coat lay in a puddle, burning with fever and barely conscious. She was muttering an address, the home of Shinichi Kudo. This was Shiho Miyano, who had just escaped the Black Organization and shrunk to a child's size after taking APTX-4869.

Suzuki Yusuke carried her into his car and took her to his private hospital to bring down her fever. When Ai Haibara awoke, she was on guard and asked only that he destroy her records and take her somewhere safe. He did as she asked. As he turned to leave the doctor's house, Conan spotted him. The little boy in glasses watched him with a thoroughly suspicious gaze.

Ai Haibara coldly told him not to come back, yet the next day at the school gates, her gaze still drifted toward the black sedan. Suzuki Yusuke leaned against the car door, smoking. The glowing tip of his cigarette lit up his sleepless face. He knew Conan had his eye on him, but what concerned him more was the little girl in the corner of the back seat, secretly watching him through the rearview mirror.
