Siheyuan: I Observe the Darkness from Within

“We’re liberated, and you want me to become an enemy agent observer?” He Chen Guang exploded on the spot.

His former company commander settled it with one sentence: “All you have to do is act like a reckless troublemaker. Don’t follow rules or discipline!”

He Chen Guang’s eyes lit up. “Now that’s a mission I know how to handle!”

And so the most overbearing procurement chief in the history of the steel mill was born: drinking Maotai at work, eating hot pot after hours, and picking fights with anyone who rubbed him the wrong way.

Li Huaide wanted him to handle shady procurement? He took photos as evidence, then smiled and said, “Don’t let it happen again.”

Nalan Rong from the pigeon market wanted to negotiate? He shot the traitor Gou San in the head and tossed out, “I’m the supplier’s representative.”

The more than one hundred residents of the courtyard, from Third Master to Jia Zhangshi, from Silly Zhu to Xu Damao, all took a detour when they saw him.

Someone wanted to report him? Here’s the problem: what could you report about a man who never shows up for work, gets his supplies from legitimate sources, and is always acting in “self-defense” whenever he fights?

He Chen Guang poured himself a cup of Zhuyeqing and grinned like a fox. “That’s what I call professional.”
