Detective Conan: Time Stops, and I Predict Gin's Assassination

Duanmu Yu transmigrates to the world of Detective Conan and witnesses Shinichi Kudo being drugged. He gets close to record the iconic scene, only to be sent flying by a blow from a club. That's when he realizes that without the System's simulations, he would have died eight hundred times over. Using its prediction function, he avoids Gin's attention, records the entire transformation, and switches out the Maple Leaf Gold Coins to make three hundred million. Just as he's preparing to live as an ordinary passerby, a note appears beside his pillow: "Tomorrow, take the Shinkansen and get off at Nagoya Station. xxxx"

Gin has come looking for him.

The prediction panel scrolls furiously: You enter a bar. Two men in black coats have their eyes on you. You successfully join the organization's list of peripheral members. Gin has you in his sights through a sniper scope from the building across the street. Duanmu Yu stares at the screen full of fatal outcomes and silently opens his System inventory. The pistol he swiped from Italian bandits, his Kabaneri constitution, and his two daily uses of the precognition cheat are now all his bargaining chips for survival.

While Conan is still having trouble with the Detective Boys, Duanmu Yu is already standing at the bar's entrance. He pushes the door open under Vodka's gaze: "I hear you need more hands?"

From the shadows, Gin lifts the brim of his hat, a cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
