In AD 1393, the twenty-sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, a catastrophe known as "The Annihilation of All Gods" swept across the three realms. Gods from all mythological systems, including the Chinese Heavenly Court, the Nordic Asgard, the Japanese Takamagahara, the Greek Olympus, and the Indian Heavenly Realm, disappeared collectively in an unexplained melee. Some say they died together, some say they were sealed by a higher being, some say they voluntarily retired to protect the world - no one knows the truth.
