I'm an Ordinary Person in the City

He Yu is bound to the Eternal Hibernation System.

The rules are simple: the more low-key and patient he is, the higher his hibernation score and the stronger he becomes!

To everyone else, he is just an utterly ordinary man living in a small courtyard in the old city, spending his days browsing the antique street and keeping his grandmother company.

Wealthy nobles mock him to his face. Martial arts clans scour the land for hidden masters, while countless powerhouses search mountains and rivers without finding a trace.

No one knows that the supreme expert they are desperately seeking is living right among the common folk.

The Keepers of the Ruins plot to tear heaven and earth apart and open a passage through the void to destroy the present world. The warriors of the hidden sects fight desperately, only to suffer defeat after defeat.

Whenever catastrophe looms, He Yu quietly steps in to quell the chaos.

Once all is settled, the heroes and champions beg him to lead the hidden sects and unite the martial world.

He Yu calmly refuses and turns back toward the little courtyard on the old street.

Though he possesses power that has endured for ages, he seeks no worship from the world. He only wishes to lie low among ordinary people and protect the simple comforts of everyday life.
