Tomb Raiding: The Whistle Coffin Breaks Ground, Revealing a Blindfolded Boy

In the southwestern borderlands, a strange phenomenon appears on an uncharted barren mountain. Torrential rain pours for seven days and nights, and a landslide reveals a bronze coffin shaped like a whistle. The instant its lid explodes open, nine paper figures dressed in burial shrouds carry out a blindfolded young man. A three-legged raven perches on his shoulder, he cradles a Miao saber, and his long wolf-tail hair flutters in the wind. A passing group of tomb raiders are so terrified they wet themselves. Three of those who are too slow to run are driven mad when the paper figures grin at them.

When the news reaches the Nine Gates, Zhang Qishan leaps to his feet and slams the table. "A whistle coffin, a coffin carried by paper figures, a blindfolded raven tamer... This is the 'Gatekeeper' described in the ancient Zhang family texts!" Chen Pi refuses to believe it and takes men to investigate, only to be pecked all over his head by the raven. Hei Xiazi takes one look from a distance and turns to run. "Lord Raven is here! Retreat!" Wu Xie runs after him, asking if it's cool. Zhang Qiling says only three words: "Raven. Lend it to me."

No one knows the young man's name is Shi Changsheng, or that he is a transmigrator who crawled out of a coffin. He isn't blind. He saw something he shouldn't have: beneath that whistle coffin lies a door that must never be opened. The Zhang family, the Wang family, the Nine Gates.
