One Piece: The Sand Monk Reigns Supreme

Sha Wujing, the Curtain-Raising General of the Celestial Court, the man-eating monster of the Flowing Sands River, and the third disciple who carried the luggage on the journey to fetch the scriptures.

A thousand years of silence come to an end on the battlefield at Marineford. A spatial rift swallows him, and when he wakes, he is lying beneath the sea in the Pirate King world.

His Demon-Slaying Staff is still there, as are his skull necklace and a thousand years of magic power. But he has eaten a Devil Fruit.

The Heavy Fruit.

Once he eats it, he can no longer touch water.

A monster who has survived for a thousand years with water-based magic has become a landlubber.

Worse still is the necklace around his neck: nine skulls, nine abilities, and a secret hidden in each one, secrets even he doesn't know. It isn't jewelry. It's a seal, one that binds the passage between two worlds.

And that passage is beginning to loosen.
