Yu-Gi-Oh!: From the Start, the Five-Time Champion Dominates the Game World

The protagonist is a five-time Yu-Gi-Oh! world champion from the future. His specialty isn't dramatic topdecking. Instead, he breaks his opponents' spirits little by little with trap-heavy decks, lockdowns, and diabolical chains of effects.

During a plane hijacking, he dies taking a knife meant for a young fan. A bloodstained, nameless card sends him to Domino City, where Yugi Muto lives, and turns his body back to sixteen years old.

With no money to his name, he's on the verge of stealing snacks from grade-schoolers when the wealthy young woman Kaoru Izayoi finds him and takes him back to her card shop.

Seto Kaiba brings out Blue-Eyes White Dragon to dominate the field, but the protagonist shows the president what a modern deck can do. Weevil Underwood is just about to cheat when he's taken out in a single turn.

Everyone thinks he's just some newcomer who appeared out of nowhere, until he repeatedly shatters the dueling rules, the power of his opponents' decks, and their psychological defenses all at once.
