Big Oak's Instant Noodle Buddy: The Lazy Teen's Extraordinary Adventure

The protagonist, Lin Ye, is an easygoing boy from Pallet Town. His daily routine is mooching instant noodles from Professor Oak, doing odd jobs for him in exchange for snacks, and learning about the local Pokemon. Unlike Ash, who dreams of adventure with burning passion, Lin Ye just wants to slack off from the start and avoid setting out on a journey. Professor Oak even calls him "the laziest boy in Pallet Town." One day, he hears that strange glowing little fish have appeared in a stream behind Pallet Town. Curious, he starts keeping watch there every day, getting into one ridiculous mishap after another: accidentally stepping into a Pokemon trap, getting wrapped up in Caterpie's String Shot, being caught mooching noodles from the professor, and wandering into a wild Pokemon's territory and being forced to work to make amends.
