The Ancient Relics' Spirit-Suppressing Records

Lu Zheng is a night-shift security guard at a museum and the last surviving heir of the Keepers' lineage. Steady, taciturn, and observant, he awakens the Spirit-Sealing Mark and unlocks the ancient Relic-Sealing Origin Scripture. He can sense the resentment clinging to antiques, suppress demons, refine spiritual energy into qi, and is well versed in yin-yang, the five elements, and basic talismans. While making his rounds in the bronze artifacts gallery, Lu Zheng discovers black water seeping from a Shang dynasty bronze ding. As he approaches, a black hand reaches out from inside. His talisman burns up in an instant, and a roar comes from within the vessel. Each artifact he deals with strengthens the Spirit-Sealing Mark and raises his qi-refining cultivation. He can also learn ancient techniques from the artifacts themselves. Wen Wan uses her feng shui knowledge to locate the source of evil and helps with family talismans, and the two work together with increasing ease.

Every possessed artifact is linked to the archaeological team that Wen Wan's father disappeared with. Lu Zheng discovers that the resentment on the artifacts was cultivated by human hands, and that the evil sect Return-Soul Cult wants to use resentful spirits to resurrect a feudal lord buried in a tomb. When the cult raids the museum at night, Lu Zheng finds the complete Relic-Sealing Origin Scripture in an underground chamber. At the critical moment, he activates its ultimate technique, using his own qi and blood as the catalyst.
