Siheyuan: Chief of Procurement, Master of Supplies

Zhao Weidong transmigrates to 1960, into the world of Love in the Courtyard, and becomes the deputy head of the procurement section in the steel mill's logistics department.

In an era of scarcity, he binds himself to a Procurement Sign-in System. Signing in each day earns him various supplies, ration coupons, and leads to useful connections. With his father's position as deputy director of the Second Commercial Bureau, his uncle's background as head of logistics for a military region, and his own smooth, perceptive way of dealing with people, he thrives both at the steel mill and in the courtyard.

He isn't like the hardline security department. He's all about the people skills of the procurement section. Silly Zhu needs his approval for a special meal, Qin Huairu's request to borrow grain is turned down, and Yi Zhonghai's moral blackmail is useless against him.

It starts with a single procurement order and grows into a supply network spanning the capital. From a small home in Nanluoguxiang to an industrial empire covering all of Beijing.

In an age when goods are king, whoever controls procurement controls the power to speak.
