Chasing Down Bizarre Crimes, Avoiding the Midnight Hour

A city begins buzzing with the same urban legend: at midnight, peel an apple in front of a mirror, and you'll see how you will die in the future. At first, no one takes it seriously. But as the story spreads and more people see their deaths in the mirror, they really do die exactly as they saw. Even stranger, people who never peeled an apple start seeing the same images, too. Too many people remember the legend, and the ghost has been "remembered" into existence. When an entire city talks about the same ghost, that ghost truly is everywhere.
