The "Chang Geng" interstellar spacecraft has sailed for 77,630 days or 213 years, and is 26 light years away from the earth. The original destination of the spacecraft was a planet called "New Hope". According to the original sailing plan, the voyage still had about two years. There are about 8,000 people living on the Chang Geng. Most of them are multi-generational crew members who were born, grew up, aged and died on the ship. The ship is a completely self-sufficient closed world with its own social structure, archival system, cultural memory and spiritual beliefs. The key technology of the spacecraft is the NDDS neuron direct connection dream system - a system that can "project" the neural signal pattern of the deceased navigator into the brain of the successor, allowing the successor to "personally experience" the moments that the predecessors have experienced in the first person.
