In the Name of the People: The Slacking District Chief Climbs the Ranks

Sun Liancheng became the Guangming District chief from In the Name of the People, the man Li Dakang had berated until he could barely hold his head up.

The public service counter was too low?

The people had to crouch to get things done?

He slapped the table. "Tear it all out! Put out ten plastic stools!"

The total budget was a thousand, with two hundred left over, enough to buy a big-character poster about "saving money and making revolution."

Li Dakang arrived with reporters, bristling with anger and ready to put him on trial. But when they interviewed an elderly woman, she gave a thumbs-up to the camera. "District Chief Sun gets things done! It's a lot better than having to bend over like before!"

Li Dakang's blood pressure shot up on the spot. He slammed the door on his way out.

Gao Yuliang narrowed his eyes. "This man doesn't play by the rules. He's unfathomable."

Sha Ruijin slapped the table. "He thinks outside the box and is fit for great responsibility!"

Qi Tongwei came to visit. "District Chief Sun, could you teach me how to coast?"

Everyone was trying to figure out his "political wisdom." Only Sun Liancheng knew he genuinely just wanted to slack off.

But the more he slacked off, the closer did the ceiling seem to get?
