Siheyuan: Traveling Between Two Worlds, I Strike It Rich Reselling Goods

Lin Zhibin unexpectedly obtains a medicine basket that lets him enter a siheyuan in the 1960s. Goods are scarce and tickets are hard to come by, so the daily necessities, scarce Western medicines, and refined grain and cooking oil he brings become coveted hard currency in the compound and on the black market, easily earning him all kinds of rare treasures.

Wild ginseng, bear gallbladders, fine furs, and century-old timber are items few people in the 1960s go out of their way to acquire, but in the modern era their value skyrockets and they are impossible to find, even at a high price.

Whenever he brings out some rare treasure, wealthy merchants and collectors flock to his door, competing to buy it at a premium.

Qin Huairu: "Two jin of cornmeal. You said we'd just rub against each other."
