After the Broken Engagement: The Hidden Dragon Returns to Set Sail in Jinghai

Synopsis:

Beneath the old locust tree at the village entrance, Su Wanqing breaks up with Lu Yuan.

“My mother can't wait any longer. Brother Shaofeng can come up with a hundred thousand yuan.”

Lu Yuan squats over a bowl of plain noodles that costs three yuan. He doesn't even look up. “Fine.”

The whole village calls him a good-for-nothing. He farmed for five years and delivered food for five more, yet can't even afford a new pair of shoes. Nobody knows that at four in the morning, he uses a wooden stick as a bayonet and thrusts it thirty-six thousand five hundred times.

That day, a text message makes his old-fashioned phone buzz. A trillion yuan has been deposited. A call from overseas. Uncle Qin is critically ill and entrusts him with three long-range fleets and a main island spanning eighteen square kilometers. And his father's three-sided military dagger has sat locked in a glass case for twenty-five years. The lock has been worn smooth.

A helicopter hovers at the village entrance. Six people slide down ropes, each wearing a silver trident insignia.

“Reporting, Captain! The elite squad is back in full!”

Lu Yuan sets his empty bowl on a stone stump and walks toward the ropes without looking back.

“Let's go. We're heading to Natuna.”

The hidden dragon rises from the depths, and sails catch the wind on a calm sea. Across ten thousand miles of coastline, we yield not an inch.
