Masked Guerrillas

After the July 7th Incident in 1937, the entire Hebei-Shandong border area fell. Japanese invaders went to the countryside to raid the countryside, fake security chiefs assisted the tyrants in their crimes, and local bandits took advantage of the chaos to plunder the people. The former captain of the National Army, Captain Lu Zhengyang, was defeated on the battlefield and returned home. Under the guidance of the underground party, he secretly formed a masked guerrilla team. The team members were all retired officers and soldiers and orphans of martyrs. They disguised themselves as farmers, salesmen, and craftsmen and lurked in the villages. They farmed during the day to make a living. At night, they attacked Japanese artillery towers, intercepted military supplies, and hunted down traitor spies. The story has two parallel lines: one is the bloody war behind enemy lines, and the other is the lingering love and human tenderness of separation of flesh and blood in troubled times. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental and should not be imitated.
