In the Imperial Kitchen of the Cold Palace, I Make the Little Cultivator Princess Drool

Su Chen wakes up to find that he has transmigrated.

The bad news: he's in the imperial palace.

First, he checks whether anything is missing.

The good news: it's the imperial palace's kitchen.

The bad news: this is a world of immortal cultivation, where everyone takes fasting pills and cooking means boiling food in water with salt. The imperial kitchen is about to be downgraded into a cafeteria.

As a former food-content creator, Su Chen asks: How can I put up with this?

Bound to the "Human Hearth System," he lives by a simple motto: You can let anyone go hungry, but not yourself. As it happens, the first time he renders lard, he makes the frail little princess cry with hunger.

One bowl of rice topped with lard leaves the little princess in awe. From then on, a secret series of meals begins through the back door of the imperial kitchen. Egg tarts, barbecue, hot pot... Su Chen keeps serving up new dishes, and the princess grows rounder by the day.

But just as everyone assumes he's merely trying to curry favor with the princess, a plate of twice-cooked pork that can speed up cultivation quietly sets the entire world of immortal cultivation ablaze.

A culinary storm is about to sweep across the land.
