Dying from the Start: I Rise to the Throne by Plundering Traits

Born into humble circumstances, with a mother who died young, no powerful allies, and having been abandoned, Li Chengyuan was trapped in the Cold Palace for eight years. He endured bitter cold and illness day after day, and nearly wasted away to a skeleton. As he lay at death's door, a Plunder System appeared and opened up a sliver of hope for him. He could steal beasts' talents to explore secret realms, take physicians' abilities to strengthen his body, and acquire secret arts that let him discern good from evil. He concealed his abilities and pretended to be timid, secretly stirring up trouble in the inner palace. He used conflicts to root out internal threats, and relied on his wits to escape the prison of the Cold Palace. He entered the Imperial Academy's game of strategy, faced the Crown Prince's suppression, and dug into the palace's hidden secrets. With the power of his traits, he defied fate, broke free of his destiny as a pawn, and took control of his own world.
