No Sci-Fi in the Dragon Kingdom? Then I'll Bring Out The Wandering Earth

They called this a sci-fi wasteland, and you went and set Jupiter on fire?

When the judges at the global sci-fi competition slapped the label "sci-fi wasteland" on the Dragon Kingdom's booth,

I quietly stood up, logged into the National Space Administration's classified server, and entered a command:

"Initiate Phase One of the Wandering Earth Plan: verify the feasibility of planetary engines."

In an instant, observatories around the world blared their alarms at once.

On the screens was the final image sent by a probe passing Jupiter:

A beam of plasma, stretching from the heavens to the earth, extended out from Earth and struck Jupiter's Great Red Spot with pinpoint precision.

The trophy fell from the judge's hand with a clang.

I simply opened the next file and faced the cameras broadcasting live to the world:

"That was only an ignition test."

"Official announcement: in ten days, Earth will set sail. Its destination: Proxima Centauri."

"And this report on observations of the Trisolaran civilization is the next gift to all humanity."
