Doomsday Ferryman: From the Start, I Devoured Jiang Chen's Primordial Spirit

The blood moon hung overhead, and the apocalypse arrived. My name is Qin Yang, and I work the night shift at a convenience store.

Vengeful spirits surrounded the store, and I thought I was done for. Then the divine soul of Jiang Chen awakened inside me, and I also awakened the Yin-Yang Eyes of a ghost constable.

A descendant of the Ma family of exorcists burst into the store while chasing a zombie. When she saw me, she nearly dropped her demon-subduing staff. “What on earth are you?!”

I looked at my own golden zombie eyes in the mirror and could only sigh.

Senior Zhao Li handed me a cigarette. “Go on, smoke it. It'll calm that short-tempered divine soul of yours.”

I took the cigarette. “So what am I now?”

He glanced at the growing number of vengeful spirits outside the convenience store, drawn there by my aura, and said gravely, “You're the only being in heaven and earth who is both prey and predator.”

With a cigarette between my lips, I pushed open the store door and smiled at the spirits filling the street. “Welcome. Tonight's special: salvation service.”
