Hong Kong Films: The Boss Is Dead, I'm Taking Over the Club

The boss gets killed, his underling takes over, slays his enemy, and becomes a legend overnight. It's a familiar story.

But what if, when your boss was killed, you were busy shipping goods here from another world?

Zhang Jun, an ocean-going ship's engineer, unexpectedly gains the ability to travel between two worlds. He quietly makes a fortune in Hong Kong by trading goods from different eras.

Then his boss, Shuangying Xing, is hacked to death by the Number Gang while protecting him. His dying words are: "A-Jun, don't let Tsuen Wan fall."

The gang's boss, Uncle Deng, announces in public: whoever can kill Iron Bull gets Tsuen Wan.

That night, Zhang Jun takes a swallow-feather saber from the secret realm and walks alone into Ham Tin Street. A flash of steel, and Iron Bull's broad-bladed saber breaks in two.

Another flash, and Iron Bull falls. Zhang Jun wipes the blood from his blade on Iron Bull's clothes, then says to his underlings, who are staring in shock, "Bring the boss's body back and give him a proper funeral."

Three days later, he becomes the youngest gang boss in Tsuen Wan. No one knows that an entire world's worth of resources lies behind him.
