Pokemon: The Ruthless Trainer Starts in Veilstone City

“This Budew has terrible potential. Release it.”

“Not a single Beedrill in this swarm can fight. Release them all.”

“Gyarados? Average potential. Better to raise a Magikarp from scratch.”

My name is Shinji. I'm a transmigrator and the second young master of the Pokémon Day Care in Veilstone City.

My older brother Reiji is a gentle Pokémon breeder, while I'm a cold-hearted Trainer.

My Elekid knows Magnet Rise and Work Up, and won the championship after defeating fourteen opponents in a row.

My Ursaring is three meters tall, with Guts, Bulk Up, and Counter, and can go toe-to-toe with Tyranitar.

My Gible knows Dragon Claw and Fire Fang, and will learn Dragon Dance and Fly in the future.

My Vulpix knew Sunny Day and Extrasensory from birth, the result of prenatal training in a gravity field.

People ask me why I'm so strong.

I point to the Ursaring being pounded by a waterfall, the Elekid struggling in a gravity field, and the Gible being bombarded with Focus Blast by Blissey.

“Because my Pokémon have been training since the day they were born.”
