Working on Flower-Fruit Mountain, I Cultivate Immortality by Passing the Buck

Lu Renjia, a newly appointed Heavenly Court field officer, is assigned to report to the Flower-Fruit Mountain Water Curtain Cave branch. The Three Realms have merged into the Six Paths Joint Administrative Bureau, where gods, immortals, demons, and monsters all have to clock in for work. His direct supervisor turns out to be none other than the recently recruited Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong.

He has a breakdown on his first day at work: the Golden Cudgel is used as a clothesline, the monkeys rummage through his bags and toss fruit peels everywhere, and weekly reports have to be written with a calligraphy brush. Management is a mess, accidents happen constantly, and taking the blame becomes part of daily life.

Fortunately, he activates a cause-and-effect evasion System. As long as he doesn't go looking for trouble, every blame automatically lands on the real culprit. The fire gets pinned on Erlang Shen's training grounds, the monkey who sets off firecrackers suffers the consequences, and performance reviews are successfully implemented.

From a lowly office worker to the head of a model civilization pilot program, Lu Renjia uses the System to carve out a path to promotion on Monkey Mountain.
