Slaughtering My Way Through the Riverworks Camp

For twenty years since the Hu Ting took control of the Central Plains, the Han people have been treated like grass. More laborers have died in the riverworks camps than there are stones buried in the embankments.

Chen Zhao opened his eyes to find himself a lowly laborer in a riverworks camp, on the verge of being tortured to death. Gaunt and covered in wounds, he had even been stripped of his name, leaving him with only a number: 967.

He thought his fate was sealed from the start, but then he awakened the ability to recruit soldiers in troubled times.

Kill one enemy, gain one soldier.

As long as he killed an enemy, he would gain an absolutely loyal and battle-hardened soldier under his command. Kill an overseer, gain a fierce soldier! Kill a regular soldier, gain a fierce soldier! Kill a Hu cavalryman, gain a fierce soldier!

So while others were still waiting to join forces and launch a rebellion, Chen Zhao had already fought his way through the entire riverworks camp with a blade in hand.

From laborer to rebel, from rebel to warlord, from warlord to ruler of all under heaven:

This is a blood-soaked road where killing is used to stop killing.
