Lu Xingye binds himself to an Advanced Technology System and livestreams himself building advanced technology by hand in a mountain village.

On day one, he builds a floating tractor. The Trisolarans send him antimatter as a tip: "Will you sell the blueprints? I'll offer three planets!"

On day two, he builds an infrasonic locust exterminator. The Singer civilization tips him a two-dimensional foil: "Streamer, can you make this too?"

On day three, the Ministry of State Security breaks down his door. "Engineer Lu, there are... no human viewers in your livestream."

"Thirty-seven alien civilizations have applied to establish diplomatic relations. The Sweepers' fleet will arrive in three years!"

"The government is begging you to stop livestreaming!"

Lu Xingye turns and walks into a top-secret base. Two years later, the Sweepers' fleet bears down on Earth, and the whole world despairs.

He sets up a livestream in the Kuiper Belt:

"What's up, folks! Today I'm building a star destroyer by hand. Send those gifts!"

Watching the livestream, the alien commander fumbles and presses the surrender button.
