Great Ming: I Protest to the Death Every Day, Until Old Zhu Begs Me to Be Prime Minister

The lowly county magistrate Guo You is caught up in the Guo Huan case and wants nothing more than to die.

In court, he recklessly remonstrates, every word cutting to the bone.

He denounces the ancestral precepts for ruining the nation and advocates confiscating the estates of scholar-officials, vassal princes, and meritorious nobles;

He champions abolishing the ancestral precepts, lifting the maritime ban, and marching south into Jiaozhi;

He even bluntly declares that if the Prince of Yan is not appointed heir, Zhu Di will surely rebel, so they might as well go along with it.

He sows discord in the imperial family and insults the emperor, hoping only to die quickly and atone for his sins.

Unexpectedly, Zhu Yuanzhang slams the table in delight and grabs his arm in front of everyone:

“Our Great Ming can still be saved!”

The entire court is stunned. Zhu Yuanzhang even drops to his knees and begs:

“Sir, become Great Ming’s chancellor and help me secure the empire!”
